Biorejar is a 30 ml pre-filled disposable safety container for the transport, preservation, and temporary fixation of histological specimens. The device is indicated for resected tissue, tissue fragments, biopsies, and organ parts removed surgically or through resection.
Patented system that protects the operator from formaldehyde vapors
Biorejar is a closed-circuit safety container pre-filled with 4% w/v (10% v/v) formaldehyde.
It combines ease of use with the necessary ability to protect the user from the toxic effects of formaldehyde.
According to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council:
Formaldehyde is classified as a Class 1B carcinogen and a Class 2 mutagen.
According to Directive 2004/37/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council:
The employer shall ensure that the carcinogen or mutagen is, to the extent technically feasible, manufactured and used in a closed system.
With Biorejar, formaldehyde vapors do not come into contact with the operator during sampling.
The formaldehyde, already present in the container in a special safety chamber, is mixed once the cap is closed, simply by pressing a button.
The biopsy is therefore perfectly preserved, without any danger to the operator.
